At Aligned Orthodontics, we’re proud to introduce Lucy, our highly skilled and friendly orthodontic therapist. With her extensive training and dual qualifications, Lucy is an important part of our team, helping patients achieve confident, healthy smiles.
Qualifications and Experience
Lucy is a dually qualified orthodontic therapist and general dental hygienist/therapist. Lucy has over 20 years experience, in the orthodontic sector. She studied at Manchester University, earning a BSc (Honours) Degree in Oral Health Sciences in 2004, in the same year completed both a Diploma in Dental Hygiene (EDH) and a Diploma in Dental Therapy (EDT). In 2009, Lucy gained a Diploma in Orthodontic Therapy from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, giving her the expertise to provide precise and compassionate orthodontic care.
At your next appointment, you may be seen by Lucy, who will carry out your treatment under the supervision of our highly experienced specialist orthodontist, Dr Anika Maini.

Lucy plays a key role in ensuring your orthodontic journey is smooth and successful. She:
Fits and adjusts braces, helping your teeth move safely and effectively
Takes digital scans and impressions for precise, comfortable treatment
Fits and monitors retainers to keep your smile beautifully aligned
Provides oral health guidance drawing on her skills as a dental hygienist and therapist
Supports preventive care keeping gums and teeth healthy throughout treatment
Her favorite part of her role is helping patients see their confidence grow as their smile transforms, all while providing a reassuring and friendly presence at every appointment.
Outside the Clinic
Outside work, Lucy is married with a young son, William. She’s also a passionate equestrian, owning her horse, Frankie, and competing most weekends in British Dressage events. She has proudly represented both England and the North West for the past four years.
